TECHPOINT
6 - Closure (Status 08, 26, 28, 34)
What to Accomplish:
Prior to closing any case, document what, if any, use was made of technology resources or services.
| Collecting accurate information on the consideration and use of technology-related services is important for outcome measurement and quality improvement
efforts.
Individuals who receive vocational rehabilitation services should be given every opportunity to succeed. Technology-related services can be a key factor in whether rehabilitation services are successful.
TECHPOINT
6, which actually occurs at any point an individual can exit rehabilitation services, helps to document and review what impact, if any, technology services may have had on outcomes. Even if the outcome was unsuccessful, it is important to see if technology intervention at a different point would have made a
difference.
For successful closures, it is important to determine if technology interventions had an impact on employment outcomes. Systematic review of technology intervention at closure can help learn what works best in dealing with particular functional limitations and how similar strategies might be used with other individuals.
