Prioritize
Activities
Is there a primary area of
concern? |
If there is more than one concern, should any be addressed together? |
In what order should the concerns be
addressed? |
Are there deadlines that must be considered in addressing
concerns? |
What is the impact of these priorities in terms of people, health, money and agency
guidelines? |
Are DRS services dependent on this need being met and is this concern essential for employability?
| During the referral/application phase, ensure that the applicant is able to read and understand key intake and program information. Information provided to consumers through kiosks and computer stations sometimes does not present information appropriately for some individuals. In these situations it may be necessary to arrange for accommodations such as sign language interpreters, providing alternate formats, making adaptive keyboards available or document enlargement
devices.
For consumers with obvious technology needs, periodic consultation with the Rehabilitation Technologist should start here at referral/application. |
