If vocational evaluation is utilized, inform VE staff of any anticipated accommodations or technology-related needs.

Schedule pre-evaluation staffing with vocational evaluator to discuss technology-related needs when necessary.

Discuss the case with the Rehab Technologist to determine if a comprehensive AWT assessment is needed.

  • Clearly write technology-related needs into the Plan.

  • When completing the IPE with consumer, discuss anticipated AWT-related needs.

Action Recommended:

  • Consult with AWT staff to determine who should be involved in providing the AT services.

  • When completing the IPE, routinely discuss all anticipated AT needs with the individual. 

  • Determine where funding for AWT-related services will come from.
