Determine intervention strategies

Have needs changed in transportation, housing, equipment, or communication? If so, have new technology needs been created in home, community, vocational rehabilitation, school/training, or work environments?

Is AWT support necessary for the achievement of the vocational objective?

Have technology needs been appropriately documented to justify written goals on the IPE?

Does the individual understand how the technology goals relate to the vocational goal?
  

Similarly, computers that are purchased for an individual will have a particular purpose, such as word-processing to complete course work in a training program. Failure to demonstrate that the computer is being used for the prescribed purpose could lead to the unit being returned to DRS. These conditions and restrictions should be clearly indicated in the IPE so that consumers are aware of their responsibilities.
