Steps and Actions Needed

Conduct a job analysis with one of the AWT Team when need for accommodations have been identified.

If necessary, arrange for technology-related services to provide reasonable accommodations to perform essential job functions.

bullet

Once accommodation needs are determined, responsibilities for costs and funding sources should be clarified.

bullet

Address any concerns that the consumer or employer may have.
 

Action Needed:

  • When technology needs are clearly needed, arrange for AWT to provide assessment and accommodation services.

Action Recommended:

  • Arrange with Account Reps. to conduct a job analysis if accommodations needs seem are at all likely.

  • Invite AWT staff to go to employer sites to assist in job development.

  • Work with Account Reps. and arrange for AWT to offer technical assistance to employers on barrier-free design, accessible workstations, ergonomics, universal design, etc.
